Classroom Deficit 2023

Early 2023, the Executive Principal, Michael 'Mick' Hornby, submitted an official application to the Department of Education requesting the urgent installation of sixteen new classrooms at Indooroopilly State High School. In late November 2023, the Department of Education confirmed that only four new classrooms can be installed on school grounds under recently modified education policy.

Twelve classrooms short and a classroom deficit disaster looming, the P&C Association activated and engaged local media and the Minister of Education to find a solution and ensure sixteen new classrooms were installed by Term One, day one, the start of school in 2024.
